First Watch | 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Second Watch | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Third Watch | 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM

Fourth Watch | 4 PM – 2:30 AM

The operational structure of our policing team in the City of Beaumont is built around four patrol shifts, each of which plays a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of our community. These shifts encompass four shift lieutenants, a team of 22 sergeants, a force of 110 officers, and the Sergeant Field Training Coordinator, who plays an instrumental role in ensuring the professional development and training of the officers.

To effectively cover the entire city and provide comprehensive protection 24/7, each watch is subdivided into three zones, which allows us to allocate resources and ensure that every part of Beaumont receives an appropriate level of police presence. The Officers patrol an area of 85 square miles and cover 750 miles of roadway within the City, including Interstate 10 and Highway 69.

The four watches are the backbone of our daily operations, responsible for both proactive patrolling and swift responses to calls for service. Our officers work tirelessly to deter criminal activity, address community concerns, and promote a safe environment for all residents. They are committed to proactive policing strategies that help prevent crime before it occurs, as well as delivering prompt responses when citizens require assistance.

With their dedication and commitment, these four patrol shifts, along with their respective teams, exemplify our unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of the City of Beaumont. Through their hard work and constant vigilance, they play a crucial role in making our community a better and safer place to live.
