A parade is characterized as a coordinated movement of pedestrians, vehicles, animals, or a blend of these elements, traveling together along streets, roads, or highways. Such processions are organized with the intention of capturing the interest of the broader public or conveying and celebrating various perspectives or ideas through verbal, visual, literary, or auditory forms of communication. Permits are required for any parade route within the city limits of Beaumont.
Every year, Beaumont Police Department personnel respond to a substantial number of false alarm calls. These unwarranted responses impose a significant strain on both human resources and financial resources, ultimately diminishing the available time and capacity to address genuine emergencies. Permits help reduce these false alarms.
