The Police Community Relations Unit also oversees Beaumont Police Explorers Post #730, which gives young men and women in the community an opportunity to get personally involved in public service. The Beaumont Police Explorers strive to better the relations between the youth, the community, and Law Enforcement, as well as provide training to those who may be considering a career in law enforcement.

- Must be at least 14 years old (have completed 8th grade) or 15 years of age but not yet 21 years old
- Must live in Beaumont, Texas
- Must have reliable transportation
