The SWAT team of the Beaumont Police Department is comprised of 27 members who undertake this role as a voluntary collateral duty. These individuals undergo a rigorous selection process in addition to fulfilling their primary duties within the department.

In conjunction with the SWAT team, an 11-member crisis negotiation team provides essential support, particularly in hostage and barricade situations. Both teams remain on standby around the clock, 365 days a year, ready to deploy their specialized training and equipment in response to high-risk incidents.
